The Conduit is a sci-fi shooter for one person, created on the new engine Quantum3. With your Nintendo Wii you can appreciate this game. In this case there are a lot of different regimes in which up to 12 people can take part. The plot of this game can give you an excellent opportunity to become an American Secret Service agent, Mr. Ford, who is to protect the cradle of democracy, the city of Washington, from the insidious invasion of space aliens and other bad creatures.
The plot is built on the classic foundation. It begins as a classic spy thriller. You are a kind of secret service agent and get a job from an unknown person above you in rank. And so, we make our way through a crowd of enemies to the cherished objectives of the mission. The artifact is already in our hands. And it turns out that we have been just pawns in the hands of the global conspiracy targeted on the conquest of the world. But any way you should act to save the world.
The new engine Quantum3 fully justifies the developers’ assurances. Yes, such a cool graphics in first-person shooters on Wii we have met for the first time. Weapons, levels, enemies and especially monsters look simply elegant fro my point of view. The picture looks bright and saturated. I can’t see the moments in the levels where obviously there’s the lack of the high quality work of artists, but in general, everything is done on a different level. It is evident that developers spent much time on this project.
I want you to pay a special attention to models. In this case we have not only just texture mapping on a three-dimensional models. No, here a new, more advanced method is applied. I should say that levels are far from realism. For example enemies don’t shoot at us through the optics.
Sound and music can’t be ignored of course. Music is built on the principle used in the famous game HALO. I hope you know HALO. In this game you’ll have an excellent opportunity to listen to rather an encouraging music with a special hint that you can do everything. Go ahead! There’s no way backwards! That is what you’ll hear in this case. Otherwise, without this music you could get bored relatively quickly. Sound effects from the gun fire to grenade explosions are quite good, but to say honestly, they could be better.
As for controlling the game I can say that here one must be careful. Developers assure us that controls can fully fit you. But to be honest default settings are quite tolerable. With your Wiimote you can give kicks with the butt to somebody’s jaw. Nunchuck is used to throw grenades, fire and replace. This does not cause problems. If you want to shoot from morning till night try this game.
