Pertama kali mengenal blog entah sejak kapan pastinya. Yang saya ingat, waktu itu diakhir November 2008 ketika berselancar di dunia maya melalui hp, ada banyak sekali webpage yang saya singgahi mencantumkan kata WordPress di alamat url-nya.
Saya pun mencari informasi tentang WordPress. Ternyata WordPress adalah layanan gratis dalam membuat weblog (blog). Waktu itu, yang saya tahu tentang blog adalah situs pribadi yang bisa diisi apa saja oleh penggunanya. Saya pun membuat akun di WordPress dan langsung membuat postingan (masih via hp).
Saya pun terus ngeblog di sana (decib.wordpress.com), walaupun postingnya jarang-jarang. Dan mulai intensif sejak Maret 2009.
Banyak ilmu dan pengalaman baru saya peroleh. Mulai dari membuat link, berbalas komentar, promosi blog, menyisipkan gambar dalam postingan, kopi darat, dan lain-lain.
Pengalaman paling berkesesan adalah saat blog disuspend oleh pihak WordPress. Sekitar bulan Juli 2009. Alasan kena suspend waktu itu adalah karena saya dianggap turut serta dalam sebuah kontes SEO. Padahal, saya tidak ikutan kontes apa-apa waktu itu.
Setelah kasus suspend tersebut saya merasakan ketidakleluasaan dalam ngeblog. Padahal, saya lagi senang-senangnya mengeksplorasi, mencoba, dan mempraktekkan banyak hal dalam blog. Saya pun mulai berpikir dan merencanakan untuk pindah rumah.
Pada pertengahan Agustus 2009, tepatnya 16 Agustus 2009, saya pun berhasil merealisasikan rencana pindah rumah. Blog AbulaMedia adalah rumah baru saya sejak Agustus 2009. Dan hingga kini saya pun ngeblog di AbulaMedia.com, entah sampai kapan?
